National Night Out-North Wildwood

" It's all about building a better community and a safer America." On Tuesday, Aug. 3, the City of North Wildwood will host the fourth annual National Night Out at the Eighth Avenue field. National Night Out is a yearly event that offers an ideal opportunity to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police community partnerships. The National Night Out Committee is a team effort comprised of Crime Watch citizens who volunteer their time, as well as several City agencies to come together to plan and host the event. This year's event will once again include a barbeque, games and activities for the children, as well as a family movie after dark ("Little Giant") - don't forget to bring your chair or blanket to sit on. Again this year, we'll be collecting canned goods (people or animal food). All items collected will be donated to local charities. Mayor Bill Henfey said, "This event is a great opportunity to meet neighbors and City employees who keep North Wildwood safe and clean. And by bringing non-perishables, we can also help other families in our community. For more information, e-mail NWnationalnightout@nwpd.org.
