The Wildwoods Beaches Make Top 10 List of Must-Visit Beaches in the Nation by Better Homes & Gardens Magazine
The Wildwoods, NJ – July 7, 2015 – The July issue of Better Homes & Gardens – a nationally popular monthly magazine dedicated to food, travel and home improvements, named the Wildwoods one of the nation’s ‘Top 10 Beaches You MUST Visit With Your Family.'

The ‘Top 10 Beaches’ – named in random order – were selected via a collaborative effort between the Better Homes & Gardens magazine editors and their travel writer. The magazine praised the Wildwoods for its family-friendliness, lodging choices, and budget-mindedness: “From 1950s mod-style motels to boardwalk custard stands and amusement arcades, this classic Jersey Shore town packs a lot into its five miles. Take the kids crabbing; show them your Skeeball prowess; then dance the night away at an evening concert.”

“We know that nowhere in the state or even in the nation can you find a better free beach or shore destination that offers so much fun, and excitement and free activities to its visitors than in the Wildwoods,” said Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority Executive Director John Siciliano. “We are thrilled and honored to be recognized nationally by Better Homes & Gardens as a must-visit destination – frankly we couldn’t agree more,” he added.

More than nine million visitors flock to the Wildwoods every year – taking advantage of New Jersey’s largest beaches. Stretching for five miles along the shores of North Wildwood, Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, the Wildwoods’ wide, white-sand beaches are a perfect way to spend a relaxing, sunny day at the Jersey Shore and are absolutely FREE to enjoy. There is plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy fun beach activities, surf fishing and watersports.

Consistently growing in size year after year, the Wildwoods’ beaches are also the backdrop for a variety of one-of-a-kind events throughout the year including the Wildwoods International Kite Festival, the National Marbles Tournament, Monster Truck Races, Beach Soccer & Beach Lacrosse Tournaments, and many more.

In addition to the Better Homes and Gardens accolade, the Wildwoods were recently named TripAdvisor’s #1 Destination on the Rise in the U.S. for 2015 and have also been recognized by Thrillist.com as the ‘Most Beautiful Place’ in New Jersey. NJ.com readers voted Wildwood as the Best Shore Town; and the Wildwoods have been recognized as the Top Family-Friendly BeachTown by NerdWallet.com; and as One of America’s Top 10 U.S. Tourist Towns by families voting in FamilyFun magazine.
