The Nature Center of Cape May is a non-profit environmental education facility located right on Cape May Harbor. We are dedicated to public education, awareness and protection of an incredible number of plant and animal species both in and around the Harbor. At the Nature Center you will find: Aquaria that display local fish and invertebrate species, indoor and outdoor classrooms, a visitors center and interpretive exhibits, a gift shop, various themed gardens and an Educational Resource Center. As part of the New Jersey Audubon Society's statewide sanctuary system, we offer a wide array of educational programs year round for children and adults. Programs for school groups have been cross-referenced to the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. Some programs include: Shore Line Habitats, Dune Ecology, Horseshoe Crab Lab, Adaptations Lab, Aquatic Food Chain and other Field Investigation and Outreach/Lab activities.
